Chelsea passed away peacefully on November 11 in Calgary, Alberta. Thank you for the tremendous support which will assist with the costs in air transport back to Canada earlier this month as well as unexpected hospitalization while in California.
In July 2016 Chelsea and her partner Steve were travelling to the lake for the weekend, as they had done so often before. While travelling, Chelsea felt a lump in her breast and although they didn’t realize at the time, their lives were forever changed.
Shortly thereafter, Chelsea was diagnosed with breast cancer. For over a year she underwent chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy in the spring of 2017.
In August 2017 their worlds came crashing down again after discovering that the cancer had grown through all of the treatments and was now metastatic stage 4 in her liver and lungs. With the assistance of their medical providers in Alberta, Chelsea was able to get into a clinical trial in LA.hospitalized in California.
