FRIENDS OF BETHANY LAKE

We are fighting to protect Bethany Lake and its natural resources from development of a Chevron Gas Station at the corner of 185th and West Union Road , adjacent to wetlands and recreational trails.

Our original founder, John Williams, passed in May 2021. We carry on this group with memory of his love for the area and his dedication to protecting the environment.

The first Chevron application was withdrawn in 2020 due to opposition raised by the group and to make revisions.

The current application still requests variances to Code that we feel are not justified for this type of development.
