Hi everyone , my name is Alexandra cotto and I am so excited to be building homes with Appalachia this summer for the homeless. I need to raise funds in order to help pay for the trip. If you cannot do a monetary donation we will be doing other fundraisers and you can follow us on fb or instagram for more info. Any small amount would be so helpful and I would be forever grateful ! @friendsofappalaccia.org

Friends of Appalachia, Inc. (FOA) is a 501c3 non-profit community organization which strives to educate and sensitize youth and adult volunteers to address the needs of impoverished people living in Central Appalachia (parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Virginia).
We HELP. BUILD. HOPE. for Appalachian families as described below.
We participate with The Appalachia Service Project (ASP) and help to foster human development by addressing the housing needs in Central Appalachia. Volunteers of all ages give their time, resources, and skills to improve the living conditions of people in economic distress. All projects are done at no charge to the recipients. This is our largest effort and this year we will help to make Appalachian homes “warmer, safer, and drier” for impoverished Appalachian families during our summer trip to West Virginia. .
FOA has determined that many Central Appalachian schools have $0 budgets for teacher and student supplies. We collect & ship school supplies to Central Appalachian schools.
FOA has a dual mission – to assist Appalachian families and to impact the lives of highschool and college students as they not only learn about the needs of impoverished families through FOA activities but also take action to make a difference by repairing homes & providing basic necessities for families in need.
I am writing to you because I believe in FOA, its mission and purpose, and will be participating in the Friends of Appalachia trip during June 29th - July 7th, 2024 to repair homes for families in Tennessee.
Will you please support our efforts to HELP. BUILD. HOPE. for Appalachian families?
