  Earlier this year, I had the chance to visit Turkey (again!) and came across an incredible charity – Friends of Animal Aid, Turkey. I was truly moved by the amazing work they’re doing to help stray animals get off the streets and into safe, caring environments.
 Over the years, this dedicated team has worked tirelessly to feed, neuter, and care for hundreds of animals. Just this year, they've taken 81 strays to the vet and neutered 28 of them. In the past 12 months alone, they've successfully neutered over 600 animals – preventing an estimated 4,700 kittens and 500 puppies from being born into hardship.
 Since the new law came in last year where Turkey are capturing and euthanising unadopted dogs, they’ve been under immense pressure to get these animals off the streets before they disappear...
 
The charity had hoped to produce 2026 calendars to raise funds, but due to a drop in donations, they were unable to. That’s where I stepped in and I’ve designed  the calendars myself, and each month features a beautiful photo of one of their rescued cats or dogs.
 
All profits go directly to Friends of Animal Aid, Turkey, and will be used to support their vital work: neutering, feeding, and providing medical care to these deserving animals.
