Support Alaya Teachers (Annual Donation Request)

Even in normal times the teachers at Alaya do not make what is considered a livable wage for Boulder. As we shared in a recent email, we are working with Alaya and Naropa to address this more holistically. But until then, there is an urgent need to assure the teachers are financially secure while caring for our children. The COVID pandemic only heightens this need and the urgency.
We are requesting that each family who currently attends Alaya make a donation now, knowing that 100% of your donation will be gifted to the teachers.
This is an unusual year. For some of us our businesses and salaries have taken a huge hit, for others we may be having a better year than we ever could have imagined. So as we implement this new request we ask that you answer honestly for yourselves what feels possible to give.
That said, we are suggesting $250 per child who attends and you adjust the number up or down as you see fit. The dollar amount is not as important as having all families participate in rallying around our wonderful teachers.
IMPORTANT: Please check the box on the payment page that says "Don't display my name publicly on the campaign." By everyone donating anonymously this will assure that we all feel we are on Team Alaya to support the teachers.

If you are a member of the Alaya community but don't have an attending child currently, or if you are family or friends with a current Alaya family, or if you are simply a kind soul who resonates with our intention, we very much welcome and appreciate your donation as well!
