Help Joe Fight Cancer

Friends and Family of Joe Hafer
We are reaching out to those who have known and loved Joe and his music for decades. Right now, Joe needs our help!
During the last 3 months, Joe has been battling Multiple Myeloma - a rare and aggressive form of cancer that attacks the plasma cells. During this time, his condition has required a full-time caretaker. His wife, Alyce (Sam), has been that caretaker and has not been able to work. Trips to Chicago from Sibley, IL are 110 miles one way and, between travel and medical bills, expenses are becoming exceedingly difficult to manage. Joe is experiencing widespread pain, loss of mobility, vision trouble, and other severe conditions such as low blood platelets and bone lesions
Joe's treatments have not been successful to date. But with his medical care transferred to The University of Chicago Medical Center, we are hopeful the Doctors can get him to the point of remission for a bone marrow transplant.
Your donation would relieve some of the financial burdens of Joe's medical treatment, expenses related to travels to the hospital and help Sam continue to be his caretaker. We sincerely thank everyone who has already offered their support and prayers for Joe.
We are also hosting a fundraiser & live concert featuring the Sophie Hafer Band. Please join us on Sunday, May 16th, from 3 pm-7 pm at The Sand Trap in Gibson City, Illinois, to continue your support.
