James "Rocket" Herrada

James “Rocket” Herrada was critically injured in a motorcycle accident when another vehicle pulled out in front of him on the evening of August 3, 2017. He was life flighted to the Memorial Hermann Medical Center with severe injuries to his entire body.
James remained in the Shock Trauma ICU where he was since the night of the accident for over four (4) weeks. He has had to endured many complex surgeries to repair his physical damages from the accident.
The cost associated with life flight, multiple surgeries, weeks in the ICU, and his physical rehab has been astronomical. The loss of Rocket’s income, along with new and everyday expenses for his care, has placed an extreme hardship on this family. April and Halye (his wife and daughter) have been by his side every day since August 3rd to support and care for him. April continues to try to work and take care of James as best she can. It has been a real struggle.
Rocket is doing better every day, but still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. It is unknown when, or even if, he will be able to work. If you are able to help in any way, the family would be ever so grateful. Thank you so very much in advance.
