Friend stage 4 cancer needs help

In November 2015  a 41 year old friend from England came to visit my wife and myself on Staten Island after undergoing several operations for stage four ovarian cancer.  In England our friend Helen Ayres was told it was "slow growing" and chemotherapy wasn't an option. After a long recuperation from seven botched operations she was strong enough to travel here for a visit. Shortly into her visit her kidneys failed. As a result, it was discovered she actually had a type of "fast-growing" cancer and has been undergoing alternating courses of chemotherapy and dialysis at Staten Island University Hospital since early 2016.  Numerous infections and hospital stays have prevented her from flying back to England to see her children (ages 12 to 17). She has also been informed that upon her return she may not receive the same level of care as she has been getting here. Another complication is the benefit funds she had been recieving from England have been terminated, and my wife and I have been taking care of her through our monthly  retirement checks. She misses her children very much and feels she is growing weaker. The cost for her mother to fly here so she can return to England with our friend along  her pet dog and cat is very expensive and beyond what we can afford . This situation is dire and although we have contacted many social agencies none of them can help her because she is not a citizen of the USA. Although we tried to get her citizen status we were told that she didn't fit into any catagory for a path to citizenship which would have allowed her to visit with her children in England or have them come here for a visit. Our friend now a choice of not seeing her children in order to continue treatment here in the United States versus returning to England and being possibly denied treatment. It is a terrible situation for this motherto be in. My wife and I have done all we can on our own and now are forced to ask for financial assistance to help our dear friend. We estimate the cost of the three plane tickets along with the cost of her pet dog and cat to England to be at between  $5,000~ $7000.
