Friend's survival fund

Dear all,
My friend who my mom refers to as her older daughter has gone through a tragic year. She means the world to me and my family. Her unconditional love and support is has been a blessing throughout my life. She is the reason I started my first job in consulting which has brought me to the US and changed my life.
Today my older sister is in need and I know that all of you have it in your hearts to help me by helping her. She went through several medical conditions over the past year, her husband suffered from a stroke and now they are about to lose their house.
