<div>Beloved musician and legendary guitarist Arik Marshall has been a staple in the LA music scene for four decades.  He is best known for his high-profile role as worldwide touring guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the 90s, and his more recent extensive collaboration with Macy Gray. As a session guitarist Arik has worked with numerous top tier artists including Tone Loc, Etta James, and Sting. Fans note career highlights which span the gamut of TV and Movie appearances including The Simpsons, Spiderman, The Hangover and The Mask to name a few.

<div>In very recent years and through no fault of his own, Arik has gallantly weathered many consecutive life trials which include surviving LA pandemic-era quarantine restrictions: no gigs/ no recording sessions for 24 months, Long Covid, and a rupture of his ACL ligament for which he was unable to obtain necessary surgery. 2024 brought the sudden and most unexpected passing of Arik’s trusted talent manager.  As multiple hard won income streams froze, Arik found himself without a roof overhead and is currently unhoused.

<div>Amidst this period of uncertainty, Arik has refocused his attention lovingly in the direction of mentorship and music instruction. Currently Arik supports a modest clientele of aspiring/ up and coming LA area youth artists. His work includes 1:1 professional guitar instruction featuring his highly sought after iconic “percussive” technique, rhythm guitar coaching, band rehearsal and family jam sessions. Arik confides that many of his deepest and most meaningful connections have been constructed in this era.
