Relief for a Hero named Dakota & Bebe Rocco

I must admit it takes me putting aside my pride to make this fundraiser.  I also know it's important to reach out for help in times of need.    The day after Thanksgiving, a time for putting up the tree and revisiting the delicious meal from the prior day of thanks,  turned into a day that shocked me to my core.  I was downstairs getting ready to prepare breakfast when I heard my 4 year old daughter Dakota, still asleep with her 3 month old brother in bed, scream for me.  I ran up the stairs to the room that my children & I rest our heads, to see the bed on fire with both of my babies in it.  I must have dropped my phone as I dodged flames to get my children in both arms and rush outside to have the neighbors call 911.  It is 100% miraclous that my children and I, nor pets have any injuries.   Everything in my room, my daughter and newborn sons room upstairs is now gone with a majority of what was downstairs having water/smoke damage.   I had just moved into this rental home 4 months prior.  I cannot deny that I am mentally anguished by the sight of my children so near danger. The fire was caused by faulty wiring in the outlet next to the bed.  I am utterly disappointed with myself for not having rental insurance... lesson sorely learnt.   I still have a duty to provide a fresh start for my children.  I have worked 2 healthcare jobs as a Housekeeping Manager throughout this pandemic to afford this home all just to lose it.   I am reprioritizing my life to find a work from home job so that I can be at home with my children and not have the added stress of being a breastfeeding mother working outside of the home being exposed day in and day out all while trying to reconfigure childcare for my children.  All of this on top of recreating a space for me, my 2 children, dog & 2 cats.   Having a home to be safe in a pandemic is ultimate priority.  This is going to take a lot of time & healing to process but I must keep moving forward and Lord knows I cannot do this on my own.    Help from the community, family & friends, no matter how small, will surely alleviate the financial burden of this unanticipated disaster.  I am juggling getting rental insurance (as I won't ever go a day without it again), getting new phone, boarding the animals,  finding a suitable place for the children and me, along with food, clothes and shoes...Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity and empathy in helping us through this journey.    Blessings ♥️
