Hello everyone, my name is Orlando and my wife's name is Karen. I'm so heartbroken right now; it's hard for me to write this message to you all. I am a dog lover and have been in love with them since I was a child. It's so difficult for me to process all of this at once, considering I just got out of the hospital myself yesterday because I had a bad fall at the ADM plant in Decatur on the 3rd of September. With tears rolling as I type this message, my best friend will be put down if I can't raise money for his care. He was hit by a guy driving a van on September 5th, and he's currently in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He's in critical condition and needs immediate surgery. I am asking all my pet lovers to please help me and help share this message. I don't want to lose my best friend. He is more than just another dog; he's one of my kids. He is a family member, my companion, my brother, my son. I raised him from a baby. I tell you all, this pain is unbearable. We have an irreplaceable bond. He has always supported me no matter what. He listens when no one does. He puts his head in my lap when I am sad or hurt about anything, his way of saying everything is going to be OK. I love him unconditionally, and I just don't know what I would do without him.
