Panama is suffering from 26.5% unemployment after the Covid lockdowns decimated jobs and business in general. That means one in four workers is suffering from long-term unemployment. The United Nations World Food Programme says that Panama suffers from a 269% increase in malnutrition due to the economic downturn. Families and children are suffering from malnutrition and hunger.
Hello, my name is Dr. Daniel Daves, the President of Global Food Providers. I am so pleased to announce our new Chicken/Egg/Protein partnership project to get critical protein to those suffering from malnutrition. We are raising baby chickens in our new facility in Panama. After 8 weeks we deliver the chickens to the poorest of families in Chiriqui, Panama (1 chicken per family member). These families agree to provide a small shelter for the chickens to be safe at night. During the day the chickens will forage and get all the nutrition they need around the home. These needy families include widows, orphans, single-parent homes, and families with long-term unemployment because of the Covid lockdown situation. Please join us! Every $5 sponsors an egg-laying chicken who will lay 912 eggs in 2.5 years. That's 76 dozen eggs laid for each needy family member. Global Food Providers is located in Potrerillos Abajo, Chiriqui, Panama. We grow and dehydrate superfoods including kale, swiss chard, mustard greens, collard greens, okra, spinach, bok choy, and other foods. Our dehydrated and powdered superfoods are given to the neediest in Panama and are infused into the typical rice dishes served. Volunteers help grow, harvest, and dehydrate to feed the poor.
