Henry Haight 5th Gr. Science Camp

We are a group of fifth graders from Henry Haight Elementary School in Alameda, California. We are working hard to raise funds to go to Science Camp for the first time in Henry Haight's history. We will be the first class EVER to participate in outdoor science camp from our school!
We will spend three nights & four days at the YMCA Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek in February. We will be fully engaged in hands-on science investigations and activities, be immersed in & learn more about nature, the earth, and its ecosystems, and experience collaboration in learning & living together. Our goal is to grow in our science knowledge, greater awareness of ourselves, and overall maturity & confidence through this experience.
Through collective effort from students, their families, and teachers, we will use any donation and fundraising money we receive and earn to contribute to our general science camp fund that will cover the cost for the camp fee and transportation. We need to raise funds by February 2016.
We're really excited about this opportunity we have. It means a lot to us to have this kind of amazing experience to enhance our science understanding. We look forward to all the fun and special memories we will create. We also hope that we will help set a postive precedent and tradition of science camp in our school for generations of students who are younger than us.
We are thankful for the people and businesses that have already supported us in various and generous ways. We appreciate your consideration in supporting us. Any amount you would like to donate, we will be grateful for because every dollar counts.
