Why I’m Raising Funds
I’m a 56-year-old freelance designer, storyteller, and father of two. I’m building a travel series called Free to Roam — a YouTube documentary-style project that explores the creative heartbeat of America through the lens of music, art, culture, and real human connection.
The vision: travel the U.S. in a Class B camper van and film immersive, story-driven episodes about the people and places that often go overlooked — from late-night concerts and dusty roadside galleries, to national parks, small towns, and underground festivals.
The challenge? I need a van to bring it all to life — and RV loans are out of reach. They require large collateral, and down payments that just aren’t feasible for me. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
This campaign is specifically to help fund the vehicle and gear — the mobile base that will let me live, film, edit, and share this series full-time.
I’ve already invested in the brand, the content strategy, and the storytelling. Now I need help covering the cost of a used camper van, filming gear, etc. — and getting Free to Roam on the road.
Every donation — big or small — moves this closer to reality. And every mile covered will be shared with you, through the stories, the visuals, the people, and the journey itself.
If you can’t contribute but still want to help, sharing this campaign means the world. You can also follow the journey on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Thanks for helping fuel the first mile.
