Free The People on 420

We're raising money to donate to The Bail Project, a nonprofit that uses its revolving fund to pay the cash bail of pre-trial incarcerated people across the United States. We want to raise money on 4/20 because it is a "holiday" that celebrates something that has led to the criminalization of millions of people. Now that weed is legal in many states, we feel that it is unjust that so many people were criminalized for their past use, especially since those who were incarcerated were disproportionately from black and brown communities. While we can't go back and offer bail for the over 8 million marijuana arrests from 2001-2010, this is a small way in which we can contribute to the freedom of those who are currently incarcerated and not yet convicted of any crime. Over the next two weeks, please consider donating! We will then give all proceeds to the Bail Project.
