Freeman Round House - Family Fund

The Freeman Round House Museum located in Wilson, NC is expanding!  You are invited to attend the Grand Opening of a beautiful new addition this Sunday October 14th.  The Freeman Family would like to raise money to make a substantial contribution to be presented at this event.
The funds would be presented as coming from the Freeman Family and will go towards helping with the ongoing maintenance to preserve this landmark and day to day operations of this wonderful testimony to our rich Family history enjoyed by local children and visitors alike every year.

Please help us by generously donating whatever you can to this worthy and lasting cause!

The Round House, located in Wilson, NC, was built in 1946 by Oliver Nestus Freeman, noted stone mason, born in 1882 as the son of a former slave.  In 1988, the City of Wilson purchased the unique round house from Freeman's daughter.  Supported by donations and grants, the house opened in 2001 as an African American Museum to preserve, promote and present African-American history, art, and culture to all citizens of Wilson and the region in order to increase awareness, understanding, and appreciation of contributions by African Americans to society and the Wilson Community.
