NuDay Syria is enthused and thrilled with the prospect of the opening of our Freedom School spring 2015 in Antakya, Turkey. The school is going to be very close to NuDay Syria's Outreach and Empowerment Center where refugee mothers with no male breadwinners come with their children for social business projects and halaqas. There are hundreds of Syrian refugee children in very close vicinity who have not been to school for years and we are inshallah going to change that!
School is planned to start up with at least 200 students and quickly expand to 500 students by summer 2015. Classes will be run in two shifts and teachers will be paid refugee mothers who were teachers in Syria.
The "but" is that our Freedom School cannot happen without seed money of $25000 to secure the first three months of operations and start up costs. Education is the future of these children, so please consider the importance and donate as much as you can.
