We are Chur&Bro, two digital nomad backpacks, traveling the world, currently hitchhiking through France towards the Spanish Pyrenees, to join FreedomXfest, the first outdoor festival for the location independent movement.
We want to travel with a purpose. We are aware of our privilege: we are free to cross borders, camp in dreamy outdoors, rest on an exotic beach and jump on a plane. Whenever we want to. All we have to do is to carry a laptop, a notepad, few chargers and a camera. Oh, and a refillable water bottle. We don't like plastic.
We are lucky. So, we decided to do something good. Something meaningful. Something that will impact and bring freedom where freedom is endangered and difficult to reach.
"There are 121 million out-of-school children and young people in the world today. For families living in poverty, the cost of education is still a high barrier."
We want to support freedom of education. Education fosters change. And the freedom to change - job, perspectives, views, city, country, LIFE, you name it - is for us the ultimate freedom.
We want to raise funds for Street Child , a UK-based NGO who support children education in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nepal, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Congo.
The money raised for this campaign will be spent on Street Child's "empowering family" program. A project providing families with business grants and loans so they can themselves set-up or grow a sustainable business. By becoming entrepreneurs, they can then afford the cost of education for their children, in a long-term.
Every donation counts! With:
<20 euros: Street Child provides emergency assistance to a family that struggles to care for their children
30 euros: Street Child is able to send a child to school for a year.
70 euros: Street Child helps a family to start a business in the city, giving them the opportunity to sustain themselves in the long term.
Our aim is to help 20 families to start a business!
