Free Therapy For Black Men

Black lives matter is not only a statement but a call to action. My name is Brittany Freeman Jean-Louis. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and CEO of a counseling agency, A Freeman’s Place Counseling, LLC (AFPC). I am also the CEO of Brittany Jean-Louis, LPC, LLC where I provide education and workshops regarding all things mental health related.  For years, the African-American community has experienced generational trauma due to racial injustices in this country. Black men and women have been killed at the hands of those that are supposed to serve and protect. In recent studies, research has shown that suicide rates have doubled amongst black men since 1980. More research indicates that the environment can make black men more prone to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which can also lead to anxiety and depression. This is unacceptable. Therefore, Brittany Jean-Louis, LPC, LLC wants to sponsor black men nationwide that have experienced racial injustice and provide free therapy for them (at least 5-10 sessions). Once we reach our goal, we will begin to connect these men to licensed professionals in their local area for therapy services. We want to contribute to positive social change. We want to provide healing and emotional support that is long overdue for a population that has been marginalized and brutalized for generations. Please support this cause as many black men will benefit from addressing a longstanding history of trauma. This is needed. The time is now. We must move with this movement. We appreciate your support!
