Free Slaves in Pakistan

We are working with Christian leaders in Pakistan to free families from indentured slavery. Oftentimes, a family will take a small loan when a loved one is sick. The loan grantor then makes them pay back the loan by forced labor where parents and children as young as four years old are forced to work very long hours every day to earn their keep and pay towards the loan. The pay for this work is usually not enough to pay for their needs let alone pay on the loan. Some of these families have been in slavery for decades paying off loans as little as $1,000. 

We are currently working to set three families free in Pakistan (12 total people), some of whom have been slaves for over 18 years.

FAMILY ONE
The first family is a father who got sick and took a loan. He, his wife and his son have been working in the brick kiln for 18 years to pay it off. They get paid 1/2 of a penny for each brick. They would need to make 270,000 bricks to pay the loan off, which is virtually impossible.

FAMILY TWO
The second family is a father, a mother, two daughters and a son. They have been in slavery at the brick kiln for 13 years, also due to a loan from being sick. They will need to make 540,000 bricks to pay off their loan without help from the outside.

FAMILY THREE
The third family also took a Loan due to sickness. It is a father, a mother, a young son and young daughter. They will have to make about 410,000 bricks without outside help.
