My loving brother, Pascal Charpentier a Citizen of the United States was arrested in his home by ICE/Department of Home Land Security on July 6th, 2020. He is currently being detained without bond at Bergen County Jail in New Jersey. DHS is trying to prove that he is not a US Citizen and want to deport him to a country that he has never been to or has any family ties.
My brother was born in Germany on a US Air Force Base where my father served for the country. The family moved to New York when Pascal was only 2 months old. New York is the only home he's ever known.
Our family, including his fiance are in pain and grief knowing that he is behind bars and being treated like a criminal when he has committed no crime. He and his fiancee Nathalie were planning on tying the knot this past September and sadly have not been able to move forward with their life long plans together.
It is our belief that DHS is withholding files that they are refusing to submit because they know it will clear my brother and this will automatically set him free.
We worry about his mental state, his health and his state of mind. Living behind bars is not easy for anyone to endure. As a family we stand with him 100%. We are his strength and his reason to keep pushing forward through the toughest days of his life.
We are asking for donations to help with the cost of an Immigration lawyer, as well as assist the family in ordering food items from an outside vendor only the prison facility will allow. These funds will also go towards his commissary account so he can purchase personal items like soap, toothpaste, etc. And will also pay for his collect calls to his family, close friends and lawyer.
A donation big or small will be greatly appreciated.
