Free Laundry SantaRosa Fire Victims

As a result of the fires in Santa Rosa, California, many people have lost their homes--evacuating with only the clothes on their backs or whatever they could quickly grab during their escape.   While seeking shelter at multiple locations, families do not have access to washing machines as large areas of the city are without power.

The Wash and Dry Laundramat in Santa Rosa (711 Stony Point Road, Santa Rosa, CA --right near the Good Will and in the large Food Maxx shopping center) held a free wash day today from 9am to 3pm to allow victims to come wash their clothes without charge.  From early morning, every washing machine was being used and families were pouring in to get one small moment of "regular life" by doing laundry while their kids color or play.   Coffee, donuts, and water were also being provided free of charge.

My brother, Brent Stewart, and I are locals who live in Santa Rosa and own the Wash and Dry Laundramat.  We want to host another day of free laundry but need your help.  $1000 would cover the expenses for one additional day; if more than this is raised, we will keep the laudramat open for free as long as the funds hold out.  Every dollar will go directly to the expenses of keeping the laundrymat open for free.  Please consider supporting the us and take part in supporting Santa Rosa fire victims.

P.S.
The following information is being added to the original Story, above, for the purpose of meeting GoFundMe's Transparency policies: this campaign page was set up by Kyle Stewart, who lives in Riverside, CA and is acting on the behalf of Daniel Stewart and Brent Stewart, with their permission (Kyle is the brother of Daniel and Brent). The funds from this campaign will be transferred directly to either a personal or business bank account of Daniel Stewart. The funds will be used only for the business expenses of running the laudrymat for free for the fire victims, beginning on Monday of next week. These business costs include: paying laundrymat employees (e.g. to keep it clean, and keep everything functioning correctly), cost of utilities, cost of detergent, cost of providing free water / donunts / coffee, etc.
