Within a week our business wound down, closed its doors under extraordinary circumstances leaving our team and business under threat. So with our doors closed we turned our attention to what we could do to utilise our talents and supply chain to deliver nutritious food to those who really need it right now - those who are working around the clock in the hospitals on our doorstep trying to save lives like never before.
In this time of crisis we’re firing up our south London kitchen to produce fresh, healthy, plant based meals for NHS staff on the front line at Guys & St Thomas’s and Kings College hospitals and we have paired up with Plan Zheroes to feed the city’s most vulnerable people.
100% OF YOUR MONEY WILL SPENT ON
FOOD
Fresh ingredients to make plant based meals (because we want everyone to be able to enjoy them).
PACKAGING
Eco-friendly home compostable, carbon neutral packaging with individually wrapped bio plastic cutlery.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers will be reimbursed travel costs and receive a box of food provisions. We will pay employees who joined the business in March who are not benefitting from the Governments Job Retention scheme.
TRANSPORT
Fuel for our refrigerated Arabica van to get the good stuff where it needs to be.
NO FUNDS WILL BE USED TOWARDS RENT, ADMIN OR MANAGEMENT COSTS.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We want to look after London - the community that has been supporting us for the last 20 years from our humble market stall beginnings. With your donations we will be able to produce more meals and get them to those in need.
Please donate what you can, there are many people on the front line that are working around the clock, who don't have time to shop and vulnerable people at further risk as a result of this global crisis.
Anyone who donates more than £20 will get 20% off in our restaurants throughout our re-opening period.
