Dr. Joseph Joshua is committed to giving back to his community. As a child growing up in a fisherman’s town he promised himself that he would someday give back to his community. Dr. Joshua is a South African Dentist who practices in Holland, but returns to South Africa every year, not for a holiday, but to help and give back to his community through his free dental clinic.
This year is no exception, as Dr. Joshua will once again be running his Free Dental Clinic for the disadvantaged people of the greater Saldanha Bay community. Having started this project 7 years ago, Dr. Joshua has helped thousands of people who cannot afford dental services.
The clinic provides the following free services: Blood pressure measurements, Glucose checks, Tooth extractions, Dental fillings and Preventative dentistry which includes Oral hygiene, Sealants of molars and Oraly Hygiene Instructions. We also had out small food parcels and dental amenities for members of the community that attend the clinic. The cost of the dental materials, food supplies and dental amenities are extremely high. It is only through ongoing donations of funds that the clinic can continue to offer the complete service and support to the people who cannot afford these services on a regular basis. Dr. Joshua and his team of volunteers need your help to maximize the reach and impact of the Free Dental Clinic.
During 2018 we had to pay R44 000 to have a donated shipment of materials and amenities release by Customs at Cape Town harbor. Any assistance with the shipping / transport of material would also be of great help. Any assistance with shipping/transport of materials would also be of great help.
