Free Clinic. Personal Rebuild

Donation protected
My name is Anne Stanley. After fleeing our home during the flood of Hurricane Harvey with three children, my partner, Bryan Bartell, and I discovered the limitations of large aid organizations.

While mainstream nonprofit organizations do a lot of good for a lot of people, they only cover immediate emergency survival needs. And they only assist people who are already completely broken by disasters.

Through our struggle to meet our immediate needs with the amazing support of friends and the unexpected kindness of creditors, my partner and I became increasingly aware of the stresses of everybody involved in the catastrophic event we just experienced--from the people who lost everything and the people afraid and hanging on to the people who so desperately want to use their time and resources to assist in any way possible.

While we do not possess vast physical resources, we have hearts, spirits, and hands that crave to help.

Our goal and our desire is to, while we sort through the wreckage of our own lives, open One:OM to offer free care to anybody who needs it.  Because many of you asked if you could help us, we had an idea.

We want to support our community using our talents and our time.

Donating to our cause means donating to our immediate subsistence and the upkeep of the space where we provide acupuncture and energetic treatments. It will also enable us to donate acupuncture treatments and herbal medicine to those who need them.

We want to serve with as much time and energy as we possibly can. For us to do that, we need to have a place to live and we need good to eat. We need acupuncture supplies and herbal formulas. Our home was flooded, we have heard no word from FEMA, and we were turned down by the SBA.
We are here in Houston, doing our work to foster wellness. And we need your help.

We have scrapped our old business model, and have decided to transform One:OM into a community clinic. People can pay, donate, or come and receive treatments pro bono. Our goal is also to empower other healers to assist us in healing our community, adjusting our services to best support people whose livelihood and homes have been profoundly affected by Hurricane Harvey.

This leap of faith is not sustainable unless you help with your generosity.

We long to serve; and we also need to prepare for the future and recover our personal losses.

If you have resources available and believe in the work of One:OM, please consider giving what you are able to give.  Any gift you choose to provide is meaningful, and we are grateful for your support.  Please empower us to serve you through this time of upheaval and devastation. Please help us transform this into a time of healing and positive change. We love you and believe in our collective healing.
