Three Strikes and Cancer is Out

Donation protected
Our dear friend Fred Reiss is faced with fighting cancer for the third time.  No one should have to face it once, let alone three times.  He is an amazing man with amazing strength.  Watching him suffer through cancer the last time was so difficult for all of us to witness, but he did it with such grace, his incredible sense of humor and with his many, MANY friends rallying around him.  This time is going to be much more challenging as he will be required to have his chemo treatments, then have major surgery to remove his esophogus.  With the recovery time being extensive, he will be unable to work .  Your donations will help cover his medical bills and supplement his income, as he does not have disability coverage.  He will be suffering enough keeping a roof over his head and paying the high costs of the medicine needed to get him healthy.   Fred is starting his first round of Chemo on Wednesday, April 6th and your help is urgently needed as well as your prayers.

This is Fred Reiss's outlook on cancer...
“Cancer taught me the difference between what in life is worth fighting for, and then what you should fight against. If you want to know how I feel about having it again...My heart has a hangover.  I feel like I'm standing in front of a car wash entrance raging with flames and through the center of it is the other side where I once was, and I have to walk through the flames to get there. And I'm willing to do it.  You have to have a life of worth, not a life worth living.  Those flames think I'm going to run through them in fear.  Not so, I'm going to walk as slow as I can to let those flames know I am burning them, they aren't searing me.  I will consume what is trying to burn me alive.  And so I step on the most interesting journey there is, going full circle while walking a straight line--it's a ride you'll never find in a amusement park.”
