Fred Quarles, fondly known as Freddy, Whispering Fred, Daddy, and Grandpapa, was one of the best story tellers. He travelled around the world when he was between 19-21 in the late 1950s and early 1960s, when there were no atms, cell phones, nor google maps. He flew in formation with geese, camped on frozen lakes, and taught many how to fly. He was awarded by the FAA the Wright Brother's Master Pilot Award.

He has been in the hospital since February 1st, and passed into eternity Sunday, February 28th.
The purpose of this memorial fund is to pay his medical bills and funeral expenses. Thank you from his family.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, March 4th at 1pm EST at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
