Frederick David Rolfes' Recovery

Donation protected
On the morning of November 18th, while staying at a cabin with friends in Gatlinburg, David took a fall down the stairs resulting in a traumatic head injury with a skull fracture from the back of his head to his forehead, and a brain bleed on both sides with some swelling. He was air cared to University of Tennessee medical center in Knoxville. When he arrived in the emergency room, he was placed on a ventilator and sedation to reduce swelling and minimize his movement. The neurosurgeon compared his injury to evolving like a serious bruise.  David has had some setbacks, requiring surgery to remove a piece of his skull to allow for a decrease in the swelling. He remains on the ventilator and under sedation to continue to allow his body to heal. At this point, its impossible to know the outcome and the extent of his injuries. All we can do is pray and stay positive that we get our David back.  Rehab will be the second part of his recovery phase in Cincinnati once is his released from the hospital. At this time we are asking for donations to help David, as this fall comes right after he purchased a new home. He has monthly bills at this time for a mortgage, student loans, car payment, etc that we are hoping we can help maintain through this go fund me page while he continues his road to recovery. Thank you for any all all donations.  The family is grateful for all the prayers and support back home they have received. We will continue to keep you updated on his care page as he progresses through this journey.  To have a more detailed outline of David's progress please visit his care page at:  http://links.t.caringbridge.org/ctt?kn=17&ms=MTU3MjU4NzES1&r=LTQ0MjM2NTEzODAS1&b=0&j=MTE0MTk2NTc1MwS2&mt=1&rt=0
