LGBT Driver’s Race to Indy 500

Donation protected
Homophobia has raised its ugly head for openly gay race car driver Freddy Niblack. Once he shared his story with Compete Magazine, some sponsors pulled their money, leaving Freddy without enough money to cover the last two required races of this season to qualify for the Indy 500 next year.

The Sports Diversity Leadership Council is working to assist Freddy achieve his lifelong goal of racing in next year’s Indy 500. He must race in the next two circuit races: Road America on August 4–7 as well as Road Atlanta shortly after on September 28–October 1.

Sponsors are a crucial part of raising money to cover entry fees and expenses for Indy racers. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to ensure Freddy can participate in the final two races of the season to qualify for the Indy 500 next year. Please pull together to help Freddy – your support is deeply appreciated!
