Dear Friends and Family,
We write this letter with a heavy heart on behalf of our precious parents Bobbi and Freddy Abrego. For as long as our dad has lived in the United States, he has never had a single Doctor’s visit, he’s simply never needed it. In July, he was admitted into the emergency room for severe pains in his upper abdomen. It was then discovered that he has a cancerous mass growing on one of his kidneys. As you could imagine, it wasn’t easy seeing who we believe to be the strongest man, in such unbearable agony.
Being that he does not have health insurance, our family has been in high beliefs and standing strong in our faith proceeding up to the approval of our dad’s surgery. On August 22nd, he will be undergoing a laparoscopic procedure to freeze the cancerous mass, in hopes of saving his kidney at Denver Health.
We are so thankful that he will be taken care of. With that being said, our dad needs time to heal, and his surgeon is predicting that he will need to spend time away from construction for 3-5 weeks. We believe that God is our provider, and we stand firmly in our trust in him. This puts a financial burden on both of my parents, so we are also calling on our family and friends who might be interested in helping support his medical expenses, as you’d be a blessing to both of our parents.
We are not asking for much, you can certainly provide what you are willing and can afford. A minimum donation of $50 by each of you receiving this letter will allow our parents to take these measures without fear of compensating for this blessing of a procedure.
We would like to thank you in advance for contributing to this man who has always provided for this family, it is our wish to attempt in doing the same for him while he takes the necessary time to heal.
