Freddie Needs a Proper Send off
Everyone knew Freddie. Straight up.. whether you've talked story, given him gift cards, purchased his lunch (only vegetarian, of course), offered him money, graced him with a hot coffee, or simply smiled as you passed down Ali'i Drive. And don't be fooled, he knew all of us too! He was a sweet, gentle hearted man that has been a part of the Kona Community for a very long time. And of course, those sparkley blue eyes and dreads that could tell stories. He was a man that, despite being older, had unfortunate events that may have ended his life a little sooner.
Freddie needs a proper send off!!The money raised will be used to pay for the cremation of his body, creating a proper memorial, and allowing his family to come out here. YES!!! We have located Freddie's family!!! Thanks to everyone coming together and working their butt off to investigate, take leads, and matters into their own hands. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!
As a community I ask you to donate whatever you can, one last time for Freddie, so he can forever live on Ali'i Drive. That is what he would want!
The Memorial is intended to be the first week of September. More information will be given once it is figured out.
