PLEASE HELP. Our beloved Fred Wolking was called Home on August 8, 2017, following a tremendous, courageous battle in the final weeks of his life. Just after Father's Day, Fred, stricken with the sudden onset of his THIRD bout with meningitis, was hospitalized continously for nearly two months . Fred had multiple procedures during his hospitalization, including costly, invasive, diagnostic testing and two major surgeries. He was administered a multitude of VERY EXPENSIVE medications throughout.
Marilyn, Fred's beautiful, devoted wife of 37 years, tirelessly held vigil as Fred battled. Sara Croom, Fred's amazing daughter, and John Wolking, his loving son, were by his side. Styles Croom, Fred's grandson & Sara's son, held his "Buppa's" hand for hours on end, even helping him eat once the nasal gastric tubing utilized for nutrition delivery (for approx 3 weeks) had been replaced by real food.
Regardless of health insurance, the Wolking family will now be faced with EXORBITANT medical costs associated with Fred's medical care and lengthy hospital stay. They have lost their Patriarch, Husband, Father, Buppa, their North Star, suddenly, unexpectedly. PLEASE HELP help them to offset the INSURMOUNTABLE expenses. PLEASE HELP ease this burden for Fred's family . Fred Wolking has given so much of himself, his music , his love, his compassion to this world. Each person who was profoundly affected by Fred's presence, literally hundreds, is testament and a living legacy to the man we all love so very much.
