Rylee's Christmas Miracle

Rylee Barbara Elizabeth Carroll, was born on February 18th, 2017. She is 10 months old and was getting ready for her very first Christmas. As you can see in the photo, she is a little ball of light and attitude, who is loved and cherished by so many. She has always been such a calm and happy baby, never very fussy, but packs quite an attitude which attributes to her beautiful little personality.
December 12, 2017, the parents, Ashley Pierce and Bernard Carroll, were changing their daughter early morning and discovered a lump beneath her skin. They immediately proceeded to the Children's Hospital in Edmonton and that day their world as they knew it, was turned upside down. After a long and burdening 9 hours at the hospital, the doctors had given Rylee a preliminary diagnosis of Neuroblastoma, which was later confirmed and the primary mass is attached to her liver. The mass is about 4" in size. At this point we are all waiting to hear if surgery is even an option.
Hearing the word "mass" and understanding how serious this situation is, the entire family feels helpless. Rylee has been admitted to the Children's Hospital in Edmonton where she will remain for an unknown amount of time. Ashley and Bernard have been extremely lucky so far to have received help from the workplace as well as family. They have been given time off as well as some financial support. However it is the beginning of their journey. The financial burden they will now face will be to find a way to compensate for lost wages, travel and medical expenses. These should be the last things a parent with a sick little one should have to worry about.
Because the future remains unknown, we hope that this fund will provide their family with some financial help so that they can focus solely on Rylee and her journey to recovery. Thank for taking the time to read this. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
