COVID-19 Care Packages

Hi everyone,
My name is Vinelli from Vancouver, BC.
As you all know COVID-19 has created great impact on the world and it seems surreal. I am so thankful for all the frontline workers/ essential services and I just felt like I needed to do something more. My sisters and I run an event company and unfortunately with the ban on group gatherings - we've had to postpone many of them. Fortunetly, that has given us the gift of time. We want to use this time to help in any way possible. We wanted to bring something postive to show there are people who want to help one another but just might not know where to start.
Something that I've come across over and over again is the lack of access to get groceries. We wanted to create COVID Care packages that provides food and some sanitary products to those in need.
We will be making bulk buys and sorting them into ready to go bags. (packages will be based on occupancy)
From here - I ask if you know someone or if you are in need to please contact us with the following:
1. Your Name
2. How many people at home
3. Home address
4. Phone number
5. Notes (i.e. senior, single parent, high-risk - priorty will go to them)
I want to make this as organized as possible and will be doing deliveries by city - a day. (will be announced soon)
IF the need is URGENT please add that to your message when contacting us and we'll do our best sort something out.
Right now - we are open to do deliveries in:
- Vancouver
- Burnaby
- Richmond
- Surrey
More cities will be added once we organize the flow a bit more.
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. Spread the word, share the link, talk to your parents - they might have friends who don't often use the internet - a lot of people might be to shy to ask. Please ENCOURAGE each other that it's OKAY to ask for help.
Everything with be confidential.
2. Donate $$ - I know this is a tough time for all - whether its $5 or $20 - that will add up and anything will make a difference :)
3. Donate your time - If you are well and able to help do deliveries please let me know. There will be a safe protocol on how this will be executed.
4. NOMINATE SOMEONE - feel free to give us the information of someone who you think would benefit from this Care Package.
