Fransheska Fights Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone!! My name is Fransheska and I have been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called epetheliod hemangioendothelioma ( a type of soft tissue cancer) . I am a single mother of a little girl who is almost four years old.  I am starting this go fund me because cancer treatments are so expensive and I could really use some help paying for my treatments.

Here is my story... back in September of 2017 I I had been experiencing extreme nausea and vomiting to the extent that I needed to go to the ER.  Doctors thought I had appendicitis and ordered a PET scan. This showed several masses in my liver. I was then hospitalized for three nights. During that time I also had a liver biopsy which came back as cancer.

Fast forward a little bit,  I needed to get an MRI to scan other areas of my body to see if the cancer has metastasized ( spread to other areas). The scans show that there are over 7 masses in my liver and over 35 small nodules in my lungs and I have one tumor in my shoulder blade. The doctor tells me I have stage IV and there is no treatment for it- something I'll basically live with forever.  We are going to pick and choose different treatments to see what is best for me.

I started off with oral chemotherapy, which I had a terrible reaction to. My nausea and vomiting persisted during this whole trial and error process. This raised a red flag.  My oncologist orders an MRI of my brain. Well it turns out I have sarcoma in the brain as well. There are three lesions including one on my brain stem which could be the cause of my nausea and vomiting .. I must undergo radiation.

Fast forward a litte bit more, I have finished three radiation treatments and am waiting a couple more months to see if the radiation worked and if the cancer has gone away in my brain. I am currently on immunotherapy which I have started last week.

My plan of treatment for the future will be Opdivo every two weeks for an uncertain amount of time. Every three months I must go in to get scanned to make sure that the tumors stay stable and that no new growths appear. In two months I am scheduled to go in for a scan to see if the radiation treatments were successfull. If they were , then I will not need anymore radiation treatments. If the treatments were not successfull then I will most likely have to have more radiation treatments.

I have a long road ahead of me full of numerous doctors appointments, scans, infusions, and uncertainty but one thing I know for sure is that I will be strong and fight my whole way through.

These funds will help me pay for my outstanding medical bills.

Thanks so much for taking out your time to read this. Any positive thoughts, prayers,  and vibes are greatly appreciated.
