Frank's Heart Transplant Fundraiser

Hi family and friends. I am Frank's oldest daughter and I am creating this account to raise money for my Dad's heart transplant. He has a wife and 5 Children who need all the love, prayers, positive thoughts, and support we can get. To make our situation more challenging, earlier this year my step brother, Zarren,  was diagnosed with MS. We are balancing the needs of my Dad and Zarren the best we can with the resources that we have. The money raised would help pay for medical expenses, care and home health, medications, and whatever unforseen expenses come our way related to his heart transplant. 


 For those of you who aren't familiar with our story, my Dad has suffered with Congestive Heart Failure and other complications for over 15 years.  Over the last 2 years his condition has become progressively worse and we began going through the Heart Transplant candidacy program at UCLA Medical Center. On August 16, 2017, my Dad's pacemaker went off and he would stay in the hospital for the next 23 days battling an infection that surrounded his pacemaker. During that time he had several procedures done including inserting a temporary pacemaker, removing the old, and inserting a new one. Since his discharge on September 8th he has been in the hospital 3 more times for different episodes with his heart. He is currently (October 11) at Los Alamitos Medical Center and is going to be transferred to UCLA Medical Center. We are pretty sure that UCLA Medical Center will be our 2nd home for the next few weeks/months depending on how long we have to wait for a donor.
