Frankie's Colon Resection Protection Plan

For those who don't know me, I am Frankie, your local cocktail slinger, delicacy provider, and Coquito Ambassador. If you know me, you are aware that it is hard for me to ask for help, as I try to handle things on my own, but pain and medical facilities can humble a stubborn person like myself. In July, I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis for the first time. This bout of the illness caused me to form a nasty infection in my intestines which has completely disrupted my life. I needed an emergency drain placed before the abscess ruptured, which would have caused septic shock, glad we beat that one(Thanks Tia!).

I have been hospitalized multiple times since July, causing me to miss weeks of work, multiple professional and personal opportunities, and spiraling my life off track. I have had to start care with new doctors and a new medical network. In order to stop this current cycle of suffering, my doctor has decided to remove the affected pieces of my intestines by doing a Colon Resection. I am lucky to have a great surgeon that will be doing the procedure at Rush Medical Center. This surgery will cause me to be out of work for at least 6 more weeks. I will have limited movement as well as limits on what actions I can carry out.

With traveling to doctors visits, new medicines, recovery products, and numerous surprise expenses due to my illness, I have had to use a lot of my savings. At this point I have already missed almost 3 months of work. I'm reaching the point where I need some help to stay afloat. My recovery will be tough but with your help I can heal without the stress and worry that comes along with this financial hardship. I understand the holidays are here and things can get tight around this time of year, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will do my best to make a little care package for the largest donors once I have fully recovered from my surgery. Thank you for taking the time to help me in this matter. Life is very unexpected, cherish your moments and loved ones as tomorrow is never promised.
