Help FRANK HAWKS Kick Cancer

Hello, my name is Theresa Gray. A long-time friend of mine was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. This  GoFundMe campaign is an attempt to raise funds for my friend's costly cancer treatment.
     FRANK HAWKS and I have known each other from playing in bands together since back in the day when I was a teenager and he was in his 20's.
     Recently, Frank Hawks divulged disheartening news to me that he was diagnosed with cancer. I knew this would be a life-changing situation for Frank and I wanted and needed to help in any way possible.
     I thought that a fundraiser with www.gofundme.com was one of the best ways I knew how to take the first step.
Here is Frank’s Story
     During a routine physical exam and a follow-up biopsy, Frank received a diagnosis of cancer in the very early stages. Frank intensively researched both conventional and new discoveries of treatment throughout the USA within these last few weeks.
     Weighing the alternatives, Frank came to a decision to explore a new form of cancer treatment not currently covered by most insurance companies. His extensive research revealed that no facility in New England performs this specific procedure. Frank’s best options for this procedure include either the University of Chicago Medical Center or The Sperling Prostate Center in Florida.
     After undergoing several tests to determine if he is a suitable candidate, Frank was informed by both facilities that he is an ideal candidate for the specialized procedure known as Focal Laser Ablation (FLA).
THE COSTS
     Treatment costs alone will hover just over a whopping $25,000.00. Add that to travel expenses to and from either of these facilities, home expenses (mortgage, utilities, car payment, insurance, etc.), food, medications, and more due to loss of income during this time will be substantial.
     Please know that Frank currently has insurance, but his insurance company will not cover this particular procedure. His insurance deductibles and co-insurance out-of-pocket expenses have already resulted in thousands of dollars in costs.

Why Should You Care?

     diagnosis is a gesture to remind people that early
     detection has allowed him to have time to extensively
     research his treatment options;
·   Treatment options and alternatives that Frank
     researched to such a great extent are available to
     him because of early detection;
·   Staying current with routine medical testing is so
     important to all of us.

THE GOAL
     Frank Hawks is a proud and private man who unassumingly gives help to others and rarely if ever asks for help for himself. Therefore, as his friend, I am asking for donations for him.
     In an attempt to secure funds for Frank’s financial needs, a goal has been set to raise this money within a 45-day time period for Frank to be able to afford imminent expenses and receive proper medical treatment.
