Frank Goodridge Scholarship for Music Education

Frank was a musician and educator who passionately believed in teaching the next generation appreciation for music in its many forms. As a philanthropist at heart, he also believed in supporting those pursing their own education through fundraising efforts for the last 25 years. 

Dad passed away in April of this year, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of supporting his community. 

As a member of the Barbadian and Canadian communities, he recognized the need to support those who wished to pursue their passion through education, as not everyone has the financial ability to fully fund their studies. 

So, my mother, Frank's wife June, and my siblings David, Cissy, and Ken would like to continue his legacy of philanthropic efforts by creating an on going legacy scholarship fund in his name, specifically to benefit those students who choose to study music. 

To this end, my family is currently working with a variety of organizations who host and administer legacy scholarships, with the goal of creating a named scholarship in the coming months, possibly to be awarded for the 2019-2020 school year, although 2020-2021 is probably more likely.

Please help us to establish this scholarship. In contributing to this campaign, 100% of the available funds will be designated to providing a scholarship to a student intending to study music. We are still working as a family to further refine the vision of the scholarship, and will communicate that to donors once a host organization is chosen.
