Frank Chrysler's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Frank Chrysler never turned away someone asking for help.   Now he needs ours.  On September 1st, while clearing debris from his barn that had collapsed during a storm last July, Frank was left paralyzed from the chest down after falling from a lift onto the floor of his barn.

Frank suffered spinal cord damage between C5 and C7 leaving him with limited use of his arms and paralysis of his legs.  While in the hospital he has been diagnosed with Pneumonia and has been fighting infections as well.  He is currently in the rehabilitation unit at SUNY Upstate University Hospital where he is learning how to function with limited use of his arms, and no use of his legs.  He hopes to return home in the coming weeks where he will begin a new lifestyle.

Although retired Frank still worked at a friend’s farm to help pay his bills.  Medical bills have begun to stack up and Frank’s road to recovery has just begun.     His house will need to be retrofitted to be handicap accessible including ramps, showers, etc.   A motor vehicle will need to be purchased to accommodate a wheelchair, and their family will need to worry about 24 hour care.
