Frank Barker

Hi, we are Local 1492 Dekalb County Professional Firefighters and we are raising money for our brother Frank Barker, who was severely burned while conducting firefighting operations in an early morning house fire. Frank received 3rd degree burns over 20% of his body. Frank will be having multiple surgeries over the next couple of weeks to reconstruct his left hand, both arms and his back.

Frank was born and raised in Georgia and graduated from Central High School in Carroll County Georgia. After high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Army, spending 10 years serving his country, including 2 tours in Iraq. Frank was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he met his wife Nikole. After leaving the Army, Frank and Nikole moved back to Georgia where they are currently raising their 5 Children. Frank joined Dekalb County Fire Rescue in 2021 and is assigned to Station 11 in Stone Mountain, on the A-Shift.

Local 1492 is hoping to raise funds for the unknown expenses that are going to come about from Frank's long road to recovery. The Dekalb County Professional Firefighters would like to thank everyone for coming together and supporting Frank and his family in their time of need. Let's show the strength of the brotherhood by making his family's life a little bit easier during this very difficult time. These funds will go to Franks wife, Nikole Barker, to assist her with any expenses that might arise while out of work, such as child care and upkeep around their home.
