Our dear Francisco for a couple of years is completely incapacitated to use his legs and arms !!
Yes, although many may not have known, this our great friend, full of life, energy, always smiling and with a heart larger than himself, has succumbed to the effect of a neurological disease. I apologize for the lack of details, but my total ignorance about medical issues prevents me from delving deeper into information about it.
At the moment attention is focused on finding out what has really led to this state of prostration, but in the interim urgently requires physical therapy, health insurance coverage is now over.
With our help he can continue with at least three sessions per week , which allow him to recover to some degree the muscle mass he has lost in these months due to immobility.
I want to emphasize that his friendships in Puerto Rico, God bless! made an effort among several and managed to raise a sum of money to remodel and adapt the garage area of the house in a room, at the entrance level, fitted with a bathroom accessible for the wheelchair which has provided him Of many facilities.

This remodeling has left a debt not very big with the contractor, which we want to honor.
As I said before, the main problem is mobility, currently his move is with a conventional wheelchair, something complicated to use because of the loss of strength and tone of his arms, which would be of great help a self-propelled chair (I was going to write "electric chair", but I noticed the effect of the name, do not go "el gordo" to believe that I'm sending electrocute !!!).
In summary, we would need, in this first stage, funds to:
1. Physiotherapy: for a year of treatment about $ 9,600.
2. Debt remodeling: they are $ 3,000.
3. Self-propelled chair: $ 8,500.
For a total of $ 21,100 to start.
Obviously, any monetary help is welcome, do not deprive yourself of being proud and satisfied to give Francisco this small sample of affection.
I personally ask you for something, this application allows you to make anonymous donations, but put your name and a short message, I know the positive effect this causes on the recipient.

Nuestro querido Francisco desde hace ya un par de años esta completamente incapacitado para usar sus piernas y brazos!!
Pues sí, aunque muchos tal vez no se hayan enterado, este nuestro gran amigo, todo lleno de vida, de energía, siempre sonriente y con un corazón mas grande que él mismo, ha sucumbido al efecto de una enfermedad neurológica. Me disculpan la ausencia de detalles, pero mi total ignorancia sobre temas médicos, me impiden ahondar mas en informacion al respecto.
De momento la atención se centra en averiguar que es lo que realmente lo ha llevado a este estado de postración, pero en el interín requiere en forma urgente de terapia fisica, la cobertura del seguro médico ya se ha terminado.
Con nuestra ayuda podrá continuar con al menos las tres sesiones por semana que le permiten recuperar en algún grado, la masa muscular que ha perdido en estos meses debido a la inmovilidad.
Quiero destacar, que sus amistades en Puerto Rico, Dios los bendiga!!! hicieron un esfuerzo entre varios y lograron reunir una cantidad de dinero para remodelar y adaptar el area del garage de su casa en una habitación, a nivel de la entrada, acondicionada con un baño accesible para la silla de ruedas la cual le ha provisto de muchas facilidades. Gracias boricuas, grandes y solidarios!!
De esta remodelación ha quedado una deuda no muy grande con el contratista, la cual queremos honrar.
Como ya había comentado, el principal problema es el de movilidad, actualmente su traslado lo hace con una silla de ruedas convencional, algo complicada para auto trasladarse debido a la pérdida de fuerza y de tono de sus brazos, por lo cual sería de gran ayuda una silla auto propulsada (Iba a escribir "silla eléctrica", pero me di cuenta del efecto del nombre, no vaya el "Gordo" a creer que lo estoy mandando a electrocutar!!!).
En resumen necesitaríamos en esta primera etapa, fondos para:
1. Fisioterapia: para un año de tratamiento unos $9,600.
2. Deuda remodelación: son $3,000.
3. Silla autopropulsada: $8,500.
Para un total de $21,100 para comenzar.
Obviamente, cualquier ayuda monetaria es bien recibida, no se priven de sentirse orgullosos y satisfechos por darle a Francisco esta pequeña muestra de cariño.
Yo personalmente les pido algo, esta aplicación permite hacer donaciones anónimas, pero pongan su nombre y un corto mensaje, me consta el efecto positivo que esto causa en quien recibe.
