To All that know Francis “Skip” Vaccaro
Over the past year our mutual friend and Automatic Identification legend Francis “Skip” Vaccaro has been fighting a few health challenges. This past month these issues escalated to the point that it was necessary that Skip resign his position with Cobb County here in Georgia to address these health concerns.
Yesterday, Skip entered the Veteran’s Hospital here in Decatur for an MRI and additional tests to determine the seriousness of his health and develop a treatment plan.
After his initial consultation, he was admitted to the hospital based on a build-up of fluid in his legs and his lungs which was causing labored breathing and congestion. He is also dealing with a hernia operation that has become a drawn-out procedure based on what are well documented administrative issues within the Veteran’s Hospital that cause patients to experience significant wait times for needed urgent care. Net, our friend is in a fight and needs our mutual support and prayers!
A small group of us here in Atlanta have started a GoFundMe account in order for Skip to meet both the families short and long term financial obligations while he is focused on his immediate health issues.
Everyone who knows Skip, knows the size of his caring heart and his giving spirit. Many of you on this distribution list never knew a single scanner part number or the cable that went with it let alone a reseller that could deliver an application so you could make the quarter. Through Skip’s head knowledge and his reseller relationships, many of us met our goals and numerous quarter end objectives. Without Skip’s help this would have never come to pass!
With the holidays upon us, it would be wonderful and greatly appreciated if you could share a bit of your families bounty with one of ours that is in need of our support.
