Fractured Reality

Donation protected
Just this past Sunday after returning from the most rewarding performance with the Symphony Orchestra of NH I slipped and fell on the ice in the wee hours of the morning. Following that I spent almost 8 hours at the ER where it was determined that I have multiple fractures in my left leg. Thankfully my insurance will cover the necessary surgery to take place on Monday January 6th and I am blessed with an incredible orthopedic surgeon and outstanding health care team at our local Mansfield Orthopedics/Copley Hospital.

That said it is undetermined how long my healing process shall be, dependent upon the complexity of the procedure. Currently I am also blessed with new employment as an adjunct professor at Northern Vermont University at Johnson which has proven to be quite rewarding and looking forward to facilitating and providing yet more innovative programming there. Unfortunately I shall not be able to work for at least 6-8 weeks if not longer (6-8 months) and am faced with some massive financial responsibilities to simply keep the roof over our heads and stay afloat.

2019 was an incredibly challenging year on many levels for our family yet even amidst this painful and challenging set back I continue to count ALL the blessings and I am truly looking forward to the hard work and new opportunities that this new year may provide.

In the meantime it certainly is not humbling but I am truly in need of this support for my family, to get through this phase and come out dancing, singing, working and playing even stronger for our community at large.

The amount we are hopeful for is a reflection of what truly is needed to maintain our abode (through March) and any amount/level of support is greatly appreciated.  These funds are basically needed "yesterday" in order to prioritize many time sensitive responsibilities.  If the only support you can give is positive energy that is also most appreciated and priceless indeed. For now I am blessed to have my son present before he heads back to college in Arizona and then off for a semester of Social & Environmental Justice involvement in Kenya. In addition I am equally blessed with my best friend, daughter and sister who is perhaps the greatest caretaker and healer I have ever known.

Thank you kindly for your consideration, support and kind spirits!

Shalom~Salaam.
