Dear Friend in Christ,
A few of us from All Saints Parish in Haverhill, MA have stayed in touch with Father Sylvester Kuubetersuur from Ghana (a friend of Father Tim Kearney, our former pastor). Some of you may recall that Father Sylvester spent some time at All Saints during the summers a couple of years ago. Father Sylvester started the Holy Rosary School in Yapei, Ghana and has already constructed an entire Primary School (a six-unit block compound with office, store, and staff room) in part from donations made by people at All Saints, St James and others from the Haverhill area. The school is now in its final phase of constructing a Junior High School in order to complete the basic level of education that Father Sylvester needs to provide for the children and to make the school eligible for education grants in Ghana. The final phase of the project includes a three-unit block, office/store, and staff room, that will cost approximately $24,000. I have set up this page to see if we can help Father raise at least $6,000, while he reaches out to other people he knows in the US and in Germany. Father Sylvester is a holy Priest and doing God’s work in a very poor area. As I write this (3/2/20), today’s Gospel is Matthew, Chapter 25, …What you do for the least of my Brethren, you do for me.
