First and foremost thank you to everyone who helped search for, locate and find Linda Marie’s fur baby... Ariel.
As most of you know, Ariel got out of the yard last night around 10 pm. Linda and her family literally drove up and down every street in BI last night frantically searching for her. At approximately 8 a.m. this morning (after 9 hours of searching), Linda received a phone call from a woman named Alexis, who saw Ariel by Whittier. One thing lead to another. When Linda finally caught up with Ariel, she was heading north on Maple towards 127th. It was there a pet owners worst nightmare happened.
Ariel was hit by a very fast moving car. Linda witnessed the accident. It crushed her to see her fur baby get thrown by a car.....rolling and bouncing in the street. She was devastated.
But, Ariel managed to dodge the other cars and run off to the side and kept running. Shortly thereafter, she was found a few blocks down by an employee at a local business. Ariel was exhausted and wounded lying in front of the door at Beggar’s Pizza on Western. This employee found her wounded and scared and brought her inside the foyer. Linda was immediately notified.
After retrieving Ariel, Linda took her directly to Bevlab to be examined. Symptoms, tests and x-rays divulged various external wounds, her gums were blue, she was struggling to breathe, she was severely dehydrated, her heart was racing.... BUT most of all, air was leaking from her lungs into her organ cavity putting pressure on her heart and lungs. A tube needed to be inserted to try to relieve the air pressure. She is currently considered an intensive care patient. The family is waiting to hear her prognosis.
On behalf of Linda, and the tremendous amount of stress and emotional distress she has endured, I have created this page to ask for financial help as the cost was unexpected and will be unimaginable. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
