Andrea's Angels

In October, after a routine ultrasound at 33 weeks, we learned that our baby showed possible problems in her brain. We were sent to Dubois for further testing after which the perinatologist confirmed the original observation. He also found a couple additional problems. We have been referred to Pittsburgh for additional testing. Due to her needs, Andrea will be born in Pittsburgh where she can receive the immediate care she will need. This, of course, means we are looking at additional medical expenses, not to mention living, travel and food expenses and loss of work pay for a time as the hospital in Pittsburgh is 150 miles (3 hours' drive) from home.
