Allie's Fundraiser

So many of you have graciously asked how you can support Allie as she navigates and overcomes the challenges associated with her recent breast cancer diagnosis. Thank you for the care and support you have already provided and shared with her and her community.


You may know she'd like to have children someday, and this news means decisions about conceiving a child need to be made quickly to preserve the possibility that this could become a reality in the future.


Allie’s cancer is a fast-growing, hormone-fed tumor.  This complicates fertility treatment, because to get the best egg production, a high dose of hormones is typically used. But that method is not recommended, since we don’t want to feed the cancer.


Thankfully Allie is working with a great fertility specialist who is coordinating with her team of doctors to make egg retrieval possible while minimizing the risk of her cancer growing. We are grateful that medical science may offer hope to realize her dream of having children through harvesting eggs prior to starting cancer treatments. Sadly, the $22,000 fertility treatments are not covered by insurance.
