A Personal Mission to Save FPV in the USA
Let’s Build a 5-Inch Freestyle Drone Together!

USA Fpv Hobby Stimulus

Our goal is to raise enough money to fund the making of an affordable American 5” Fpv Freestyle/Racing Drone that will be closer to Pre-Tariff prices of an Fpv Drone. Made in America and Ships from the USA. NO Tariff Frees. Free Shipping.

Who We Are and Why This Matters to Us
Hey there, I’m Justin Davis, the founder of the FPV Freedom Team, and I’ve been flying FPV drones for over 11 years. I still remember the first time I strapped on a pair of goggles and soared through the sky—it felt like pure freedom. And to this day it saves lives by offering a hobby to get us outside. Meet new friends, and find joy in. Fpv drones have been my passion, my escape, and my way to connect with an incredible community of fpv pilots across the world. But now, our US community is at a major risk.

Tariffs threaten to crush the Fpv Hobby in the USA
The recent 145% tariffs on Chinese imports have sent the cost of drone parts through the roof, making it nearly impossible for folks like me—and new pilots just starting out—to keep flying. I can’t sit back and watch this hobby fade away in the US, so I’m stepping up to do something about it. My goal is to raise $10,000 to create a US-made 5-inch FPV freestyle drone, starting with a single model that I’ll build, test, and share with the community at a lower cost than the Tariff fees.

FPV drones save lives—they’re a way to spark creativity, find interest in drone engineering, STEM, learn, connect, and build lifelong friendships. Whether I’m just cruising, or flying freestyle, or capturing cinematic aerials, Fpv has given me so much. I’ve seen kids light up when they try it for the first time. I’ve watched US veterans with PTSD find healing through flying Fpv. But with frames, motors, and flight controllers now costing double or more due to tariffs, most pilots are being priced out. I want to change that, starting with a 5-inch freestyle drone that’s perfect for freestyle, bandos, racing, and just having fun flying fpv.

Our First Goal: A US-Made 5-Inch FPV Freestyle Drone
We’re starting with a 5-inch FPV freestyle drone because it’s the heart of the hobby for so many of us. These drones are the go-to for their power, agility, and versatility—whether you’re doing flippy tricks in a park or filming a cinematic video for a business. My plan is to source every part right here in the USA or from tariff-free suppliers, so we can keep costs down and avoid the 145% markup. I’ve already spent 2 years researching carbon fiber frames, high-performance motors, flight controllers, and Escs.

Here’s what we’ll do with your support:
• Source USA-Made Parts: I’ll work with American manufacturers to get carbon fiber frames, motors, ESCs, and FPV cameras that are top-quality and tariff-free.
• Assemble Bind-and-Fly Drones: We will hand-build each 5-inch freestyle drone in our building, ensuring they’re ready to fly right out of the box with a pre-tuned flight controller.
• Sell less than Tariff Prices: These drones will be sold to the community lower than Tariff prices—Currently an analog Tariff priced fpv 5” drone would be $400. An HD version would be $850.
• Share the Love on Youtube: Like the past 11 years. I’ll continue to create detailed videos and tutorials on how to fly, maintain, and even upgrade your drones, so beginners and pros alike can keep the Fpv hobby alive.

Every dollar you donate will go straight to parts, tools, and shipping. I’m doing all the assembly myself to keep costs low, and I’ve already lined up a few local suppliers who are excited to help make this dream a reality.

How You Can Help - We are a Family Business
I can’t do this alone, and that’s where you come in. Your support, no matter how small, will bring us closer to getting these drones into the air:
• $25 gets us a set of 5-inch propellers, the perfect size for freestyle flying.
• $60 covers a high-torque motor that’ll make this drone soar.
• $150 funds a flight controller, the brain that keeps the drone stable and responsive.
• $500 lets me build a complete 5-inch FPV freestyle drone for a pilot who can’t afford one otherwise.

By chipping in, you’re not just funding a dying community—you’re helping me keep FPV alive for thousands of pilots across the USA. You’re giving someone the chance to experience the same joy I felt when I first took to the skies. - Your donation may help that kid who may become the next Fpv Racing World Champion and go on to start an fpv based business.

Why This Can’t Wait
The 145% tariffs have already hit hard. I’ve seen friends stock piling before the tariffs hit. Some people are just giving up. A single 5-inch quad that used to cost $200 now runs closer to $850 with the tariffs. If we don’t act now, the FPV community in the USA could shrink to a fraction of what it once was. But I believe we can turn this around—together, we can make FPV affordable again, starting with this 5-inch freestyle drone.

Our Long Term Goal
Our 5-inch drone is just the beginning. If we hit our $10,000 goal, I’ll use the momentum to expand into other models, like smaller Whoop drones for indoor flying and racing. My dream is to build a sustainable, USA-based FPV brand that keeps the hobby thriving for years to come, no matter what tariffs or challenges we face. I want to see kids, hobbyists, and pros all flying drones that are made right here, by people who love this hobby. And see Fpv continue to grow!

A Heartfelt Thank You
I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read my story and support our mission to save the Fpv Hobby. FPV has been a huge part of my life, and I’m pouring my heart into making sure it stays accessible for everyone. Let’s keep Fpv going with the same creativity, freedom, and the stoke flying. At a reasonable cost. The Tariffs are unreasonable!

Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and anyone who loves Fpv—we’re in this together!

Fpv is a Family.
Let’s save Fpv!
